AsTRO GOD

Astro God is a unique blend of precision shooting and cosmic manipulation. Your spaceship is stationed at the center of the screen, and waves of asteroids head towards you from all directions. Your primary objective is to blast these asteroids into cosmic dust using your trusty lasers, earning points with each successful hit.

But here's the twist: you're not limited to merely shooting in one direction. Astro God allows you to click the arrow keys to spin the galaxy around, changing your perspective and allowing you to strategically aim at asteroids from various angles. This dynamic rotation adds an exciting layer of challenge and strategy to the game, keeping you engaged and on your toes.

To aid you in your quest, shield icons periodically appear amidst the asteroid clusters. Shooting these shield icons grants your spaceship temporary protection, creating a shimmering energy barrier that reflects incoming asteroids and prevents damage. Timing is crucial, as utilising your shields wisely can mean the difference between achieving a high score and succumbing to the relentless cosmic onslaught.

Your ultimate goal in Astro God is to accumulate as many points as possible before you collide with an asteroid. Compete against your own high scores and those of fellow players in a bid to become the undisputed Astro God of the galaxy.

On the project, my main responsibility as the 3D artist was to create both the spaceship and the asteroids. My team’s primary objective was to establish a stark contrast between the player and the game world, we did so by opting to make the spaceship in a low poly style and the astroids in a stylised one. I initially conceived this concept, and together with a collaborative team of three, we further developed and brought it to life.
